Barnstormers 10 years later (Dec.3rd 2009 Cameron N.C.

Inspired by the latest issue of Juxtapoz magazine (dec. 09) (dedicated to the Barnstormers crew) I made a trip down to Cameron N.C. on December 3rd to see how the remnants are holding up. Some better than others but the trip was well worth it..
Thanks to all who participated back in 99-03 and to Patty at the antique store who provided the map....
By the time I had the map it was 4:30 pm and overcast. I tried to get clear shots and ran them through an hdr filter to try and get the best detail.

Spencer 14-2-1 King of the West Coast Bench

Whats good folks...
I just wanted to give a shout out to a good friend and partner in the benching game. Spencer 14-2-1 a card carrying NBA member based out of Los Angeles is with out a doubt the hardest working man on the bench. If you don't know you better ask somebody.
Documenting the hottest freights to roll along the west coast his work speaks volumes. Unbelievable photos of some of the most talented artists in the world. A great talent in his own right deserves to be recognized and heralded. Most don't understand the dedication it takes to document these works but I do and appreciate the daily posts.

Whats good folks.. Just wanted to congratulate the homie Juan Huevos on the release of his new album Treasure Bath on Briefcase records. Spliting time between the U.S. and Europe Mr. Huevos has been putting in mad work. Recording at home in Chapel Hill, L.A., Budapest, Belgium soon to broadcast from the moon I am certain.. 8 hour train hunt covering Southeast N.C.

Sunday a friend and I hit the road in search of the holy grail of train spots. Just like several previous attempts this one came up a bit short. Eight hours, eights cities/towns, not much to brag about. Had a good time saw a lot of the state I had never seen before but the layups sure did look better from satellite imaging. A lot of dead lines. Live and learn I guess. Some new red x's on the map of possibilities but a feeling of accomplishment based on the effort we put forth. You know what I mean? Ask me if there are any layups in Red Springs NC and I can confidently say no. Same goes for Lillington, Raeford, Lumberton and several more but knowing they have been explored from a benching perspective lets me move on to the next adventure.
We did take a few flicks. Not much graff but something nonetheless.
Looking to set sail again soon, stay tuned for highlights.
